Learn To Be Lonely

Learn To Be Lonely

A Poem by Scarlett
"

A pantoum- more difficult than I imagined. :)

"
It was too late before you realized,
There are some things you can't replace,
Like the memory of you turning away,
When will you return?

There are some things you can't replace,
Your hand, you intend to remove,
When will you return?
The answer cannot be found.

Your hand, you intend to remove,
from mine, you disappear,
The answer cannot be found,
Always has become never again.

From mine, you disappear,
The horizon is devoid of light,
Always has become never again,
Time is only little grains of sand.

The horizon is devoid of light,
Without you, I am too.
Time is only little grains of sand,
It was too late before you realized.

This is extremely well crafted. It reads through with no effort, whichever way, and there are many! The best part is the more you read it, the more it means, and your words have been so seamlessly chosen that I never once doubt what you are saying.

Excellent. Masterfully done. The work of a truly dedicated poet.

I think that you did an excellent job. Although you followed a strict format, this didn't seem forced and actually flowed exceptionally well. You managed to capture an emptiness and frame of mind that most would struggle to fully express while following a similar format. Very well done! I'm impressed.
