Good Lord, Good LordA Poem by Nick TSad, but yea, life can be that way, a poemGood Lord let me live 'till
tomorrow, Don't let me be overcome with
sorrow. My all too trusting heart's been
undone, There even as I look to your son. The cross casts a dark shadow On my doorstep. This eve is
hallow, And the spirits reckon with the
best, I feel my life is but a jest. Good Lord don't look my way this
morning, I feel sorrow, cold sorrow, oh
Lord I've been mourning. Yesterday I lost her, lost her, Death has surely taken her away
from me. Good Lord spare my mind, It's filled with thoughts that
make me blind, Blind with rage, and blind with
pains, God please wash away those black
stains. There is fear for whether I can
live on. Good Lord send her back to me
anon, I was none worthy, I can see, Perhaps that's why she's left me. There's a hole, a well, filled
for so many years By her, now its filled with only
shed tears. Good Lord send me an angel, For the one you sent me has gone, And sits chiefly 'round your
throne. Good Lord be good to me, Give me patience 'till I can see Her by you, and you by me, Good Lord tell her I'll see her
soon. © 2015 Nick T |
