I love you.

I love you.

A Poem by Nicholas Whitney

Just before my fingers touch you
I hear a secret in the wind
Live and love and lost without you
So much to say, nowhere to begin

Life was pale and slow before you
Colorless shades of gray abound
Now vibrant streams of light surround you
Lost without you, now I’m found

A trick, a turn, a smile from you
Sends me swinging high and wide
Merry sounds of laughter greet you
As I pull you to my side

My arms encircle, hold and keep you
Your hair is all about us
A kiss, a peck, a hug just for you
Angelic face I’ve come to trust

Your heart, your hand, everything about you
I could never leave, never wander nor roam
Yourself, your soul, everything about you
This is me and you’re my home.

lovely poem. I liked the idea of the wind whispering to you that you have found a true love for all times. love is like a wind, it blows gently into our hearts, and if it finds a home there, we can ride on the current through many difficult times in our lives.

Absolutely beautiful poem!

"A trick, a turn, a smile from you
Sends me swinging high and wide
Merry sounds of laughter greet you
As I pull you to my side"

And a very lovely way to end it;
"This is me and you're my home."

Wonderful job!
=)
