sometime in 60

A Poem by Nickjohnson
"

A depiction of how time tears down everywall. Makes every star fall from the sky. And everyone you love disappear and how to deal with it.

"

Dig deep for the tear beneath the sheets

and the scars behind these midnight eyes.

If I could be all that you see

These midnight eyes would no longer be tinged by soot

The smoke has cleared and I’m calling

From a place we once traversed.

It is the calm before the storm, and in the eye

It is harsh

The ticking has torn these fragments further

And this time I believe it is a indomitable burden

Time must wither this too

Like the fire inside and around what I knew

This vibrancy is burning before my eyes

And it is the flames that change the way I see

In the ripples of heat

I can truly understand what is so  clear.
