sometime in 60A Poem by NickjohnsonA depiction of how time tears down everywall. Makes every star fall from the sky. And everyone you love disappear and how to deal with it.Dig deep for the tear beneath the sheets and the scars behind these midnight eyes. If I could be all that you see These midnight eyes would no longer be tinged by soot The smoke has cleared and I’m calling From a place we once traversed. It is the calm before the storm, and in the eye It is harsh The ticking has torn these fragments further And this time I believe it is a indomitable burden Time must wither this too Like the fire inside and around what I knew This vibrancy is burning before my eyes And it is the flames that change the way I see In the ripples of heat I can truly understand what is so clear.
