Cracked perception

Cracked perception

A Poem by MandaBear
"

just something i made up. i hope you enjoy it :)

"
You are just a fixture upon the wall
What makes you think you know it all?
Telling us who is the prettiest gal
Well, I say what do you know pal?
Just a craked reflection
A mirrored image of your former self
You never had any good intentions
Is that something you forgot to mention?
Telling one girl she isnt pretty enough
Saying to one guy "your not so tough"
Think your all powerful because you have a face
Really you are just an empty space
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Do you think you have it all?
Mirror. Mirror on the wall
Who now is the fairest of them all?
Is it Bell,Ariel,or Snow White?
The Beast, Gaston,or Prince John?
Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Can you really see at all?

"Mirror, mirror on the wall
Can you really see at all?"

Timely, (with the new Snow White movie release), and a creative twist on an old theme. I like that you also included the male side of mirror gazing.

When we take a real hard look into the mirror. Easy to see weaknesses. I like the questions and the desire of the poem.
"Mirror, Mirror on the wall
Can you really see at all? "
Thank you for the outstanding poetry.

this provokes so much self-esteem and self-confidence! mirrors and appearances don't need to make us feel bad at all

thanks for sharing

I loved this! It is so true in real life, what makes a girl to one guy is different for another guy.

Thanks for posting this! :)

This uses imagery that seems simple and juvenile but not only touches on but does a great job, a deeper more serious issue/dilemma. Of large egos. This is written very clever and has far more complexity than first glance would suggest. Great job
