Erase This!

Erase This!

A Poem by MandaBear
"

I was looking for something to write about and this is what I found : A pencil eraser being used on an art project that it doesn't like. So I tried tell me what you think :)

"
A unique painting just about to be finished
Nothing seems to be wrong
A splashing of soothing blues
And a vibrant shades of red descending through

This awe-striking colors flowing
The true expression the drawing shown
Yet something seems to be wrong
Something is coming.......

Is that a eraser coming near?
To foil the very lines
Of a captivating work of graphic proportions
It is coming to destroy the textile of this drawing

Its comes with vengeance against the paper
Scratching, Erasing, Back and Forth
Making the marks disappear faster than they appeared
Erasing the memory of dramatic emotions that lay

Harder and harder its tries to overpower the strokes
It wont be happy until the deed is down
A blank page it will be when it has won
For the pain the artist must suffer

For now the eraser has gotten rid of all the imperfections
Now it is the pencils turn
To the powers which it was anointed
For the power of the the precious point

"To draw or not to draw that is up to the eraser"

I love this stanza. It describes the eraser perfectly. And in this poem there are unnecessary "s". Please type your poems patiently.

I like the thoughts and the desire in this poem.
"To draw or not to draw that is up to the eraser"
Hard to get started. Easy to erase. Thank you for the outstanding poem.

Now there is how the inner conflict of opined disclosure is resolved. An eraser!!!
This speaks volumes about the process. Once upon a time I wrote something called "Black Ink Maze"...We shared similar thoughts shared in different ways... I found here in this moment, by myself with a giant pencil , grasped in my clinched fist...Eraser down to the page peeling away the paper from my tablet when the past just wouldn't go away. Your last stanza is money...and the final line says it all...

"To draw or not to draw that is up to the eraser" in my case the delete button...I should use it more often. Thanks for this eraser moment...priceless.
