The Tortoise, The Hare and The Finish line

The Tortoise, The Hare and The Finish line

A Poem by MandaBear
"

Just a little take on the story. Something for Easter lol. Lover or hate??

"
Get ready, Get set, Go.......
Off you run away to find the finish line.
Fighting your way to win this race.
You start out fast and get faster.
So far ahead you take a rest.
You think I can close my eyes.
But what you didn't know;
Was your opponent was not far behind.
Soon they were past you.
Quickly you leap up
Running, Running as fast as you can.
You see the finish line just steps away.
But, alas you are too late.
You have lost this race
Sitting in last place.
Making a very sad face.
For this victory you didn't get to taste.
The tortoise has beaten the hare.
Something that is rather rare.
But even if you start out slow
You can be the winner in the end.
Moral of this story: if you believe in yourself You can win any race.

Ancient greek mythological theme (if i'm not wrong, Zeno wrote the original paradox), last final verse used to provide your reader with a moral:
That's so Amandy (yeah, i've just turned your name into an adjective) !! xD *___*
