Eyes of StoneA Poem by MandaBearI have been on a Greek Mythology Kick so here is one about Medusa. I hope you like it :P
I have a story to tell
But not many survive the tale Its about a woman with snakes and scales. What once was beautiful is now not. She will turn you into stone Without a thought. Evil, mean and nasty is she. Once a upon a time she had the heart of the seas. She made her looks known. Far and wide would men show. She told Athena she was fairest of all. And made no apologies so. Fool me once shame on me, Fool me twice shame on you. For that you get snakes in your hair Scales on your skin. Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Who was the fairest of them all? Most people don't dare to call; Out the name of that animal. Many of warriors try to get near her. Yet, No one has prevailed. How can you get passed the unattainable? Perhaps by playing on her weakness. Mirror, Mirror on the wall, Your the best weapon of all. With my shield in hand, This evil monster will disband. Was once a beauty, Any suitor within her grasp. She lost her head in the end. That's how she ended up dead. Moral of the story: Don't piss off Athena or she will turn you into a monster. © 2013 MandaBearReviews
