The beauty of war

The beauty of war

A Poem by MandaBear
"

This is my take on Aphrodite and Ares. They had a secret love that really wasn't all that secret. Love or Hate let me know!

"
Two ultimate forces join together
One of the sea and one of the gods.
Beauty and Blood lust.
Caught in the net of love.

One married to looks;
One married to war.
Two bodies collide
Becoming one soul.

She rotates in agony;
From the birth of evil.
Two supreme forces,
Terror and Fear.

The perfect pair
Beauty and destruction.
Nothing will keep them apart.
Not even an invisible net.

Two ultimate forces connected.
Decisive, determined and fearless.
Sexually attractive and dazzling beauty.
True love can overcome any boundary.

Aphrodite and Ares How do protect something so perfect without evil?

Old wise saying. "Opposite attract." In the legend of the myths. Many were lover's left behind and forgotten. I like the story and the possibilities create by your poem. I like the question at the end of the poem. A excellent poem.

love and hate are two sides of the same coin... Indifference is their opposite. It seems the onlookers simply enjoy the show. a provoking write, especially liked the second stanza. Thanks.
