Ex Girlfriend

Ex Girlfriend

A Poem by MandaBear
"

I had a dream about being an ex girlfriend so i thought i would write out how i might feel about being one.

"
You think you are worth something
In truth you are worth nothing.
Hiding behind a hurtful lie
I think the truth just died.

Broken down, beaten and bruised
My heart is destroyed; so you lose
Are you happy with yourself?
Was it worth the pain?

You think you are worth anything?
You are worth less than nothing.
Holding your head high
I hope you looking at the sky.

I am not going to miss you
I am not going to cry over you
You missed that boat
I left you with no life preserver

I hope you miss me
I hope you cry
I was all you needed you said
All you wanted was to get into bed

I am your all american nightmare
You will see me in your dreams
Yet you will never come close
live your lie because i wont be by your side.

Sincerely,

Your ex girlfriend.

Very strong with conviction.
Sad how things work out for some and you told their side well in this poem.
I really like this verse:

"I am not going to miss you
I am not going to cry over you
You missed that boat
I left you with no life preserver"

I left you without a life preserver, great line.
