A Different Kind Of Feeling

When you dream of a love you have that is different from all the "crush" dreams you have.

I’ve dreamed about many loves before

They bring feelings of joy and romanticized love

Something that only happens in a dream

But with you it's a different kind of feeling

Just feels as though I found what’s been missing

Like a calmness has come over me when I dream of you

It’s as though all those fake emotions don’t apply

It is just a different kind of feeling

I’ve dreamed of fancy adventures with other lovers

Things that can only be a dream

With you the simple holding of hands holds more love

Just a world of us being us

This is a different kind of feeling

A feeling I hope to explore more

Just seems as though my world is better

With this different kind of feeling

This would actually make pretty fair song lyrics. This is beautiful... It is so expressive and realistic at the same time. Good job... I have no prob giving you 100... but I think I will add 10% to that.

This is a great message. I get tired of hearing "love" described as an addiction, being "high" on a bunch of imagined abstracts, putting a person in "la-la land" or putting the other person up on a pedestal. To me, your description of love is realistic, just everyday getting along with one another, this is the kind of love that lasts thru the ups & downs of life. I can feel the friendly tone of acceptance, being compared to the "fancy adventures" of romanticized love. A clear & understandable message that makes sense.

Hmm!!! Sounds very very interesting manda... Sounds very sweet and I'm sure that person is very lucky to be in the dream of a sweet and honest person like you.... The best thing about this poem is that it bears true feelings.... Heartfelt work and you deserve full ratings for that....
