Meet Me At The Villa

Meet Me At The Villa

A Poem by MandaBear

Inspired by a contest on here. A photo prompt. Hope you like it.

"

Meet me at the villa where we first met
Where the stairs seem never ending
Where the smells of the days bread mixes with the air
Where my favorite flower lines the walkway

Meet me at the villa that reminds you of our first kiss
Reminds you of our soft lips touching for the first time
Reminds you of the warmth of us radiated through our bodies
Reminds you of our consuming passion as we remained in eternity

Meet me at the villa where we first fell in love
When we learned the meaning of love
When we where the only ones in endless bliss
When we started our journey together

Meet me at the villa
Where we first met,
Where we had our first kiss,
Where we first fell  in love

I’ll be waiting…..

This is a lovely poem I understand the feeling of this kind of love that whispers in ones ears of true love always and that never ending kiss your next kiss is as good as your first kiss. Written so blissfully about the subject of love.

Thank you. I had a really wonderful muse for this poem.
"Meet Me at the Villa" is adoringly sweet. You made excellent use of the given image with it's cobblestone and red floral. Deserving of a medal and one I'm glad to give. A delight to read! Thank you for your entry into the Picture Poem This Contest 2.

Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed my work =)
I really like the idea of this poem, of a place being more than just that. It's a place that holds memory, love, and emotion. I like how the ending of the poem is a sort of cliffhanger - does the lover come back to the Villa? Or is the speaker left there to wait alone?

The picture is a beautiful aide to depict where your inspiration came from, too.

Beautiful writing!
