I was thinking about someone I haven't thought of in a long time and this is was they inspired

It reminds me of all the times he made me feel happy 

All the times he made me feel special 

The times he made me feel like I was the only one 

It reminds me of us 

He dedicated it to the love of his life 

He would sing it as though they were his words

He would say the song was about his girl 

He would say it reminded him of me 

Then the world came crashing down 

Arguments and fighting became regular

You didn’t want me and I didn’t you 

Then you walked away forever 

You wouldn't be there to sing to me

You wouldn't be there to listen with me 

We wouldn't have our song 

I never thought the silence could be so loud 

My heart was shattered beyond repair 

You were my whole world 

Now that world is a dark and empty place

Then it happened…

Our song played on the radio 

All the memories came flooding back 

The feelings rushed toward my heart

It reminded me of the way it used to be

All the times we were happy 

All the times we were sad 

The day you walked out the door 

That was the day the music died

Your words express the typically nostalgic feelings from a past relationship... when the 'arguments and fighting' get lost in the memories of those sweet moments...
