Dark Cloud

trying to write about something different. This is my interpretation of what it's like on Depression.

Dark cloud hanging overhead 

Hard to let the sun shine through

Just wanting to stay in bed 

Feeling unhappy and blue 

Hiding behind a weak smile 

Trying to keep the anxiety locked away 

Sometimes your emotions are on trial

Never knowing if it will ever be okay 

Consumed by a darkness that will not fade 

A numbness to emotions and to the lie 

Drowning inside yourself alone and afraid

Struggling to find a way to not cry 

Dark cloud hanging overhead  

Pretending everything was alright 

Wishing the feeling would be dead 

Trying to be happy with all your might 

Every thought you have is a fight 

Every breath is harder to inhale  

Giving your all to find the light 

Even knowing there’s a chance to fail 

This darkness has a name 

You hang your head in shame 

Makes you feel like your going insane

Depression is the one to blame

Depression effects many people were not alone in the fight against depression its a daily fight against emotions that may get you down and the gray clouds that want to hand around. But we are stronger than some emotions we can get up and get in motions.

One of the most horrible disease in human history...Depression is something that kills inside and no medicine can cure it untill the victim decides to cure it....Its hard to get off from bed in the morning when depression strikes, everything seems dark even in sunlight....Wonderful work mate, the real concept of depression has been brilliantly presented here.......Full ratings....Clappings!!!!!

Well done Mandabear. This is a great interpretation of depression. I loved it and read it three times which is very rare of me, since I'm not a big fan of poems. Also I like that the last stanza had three out of four words that I used to conclude my poem You. I'm on a reading rampage so I am going to read more of your work. Sometimes I go to the contests on here to see if I can get inspiration from one of them on here. It can help lol One time I got one from one of the things at the bottom before you post your writing where it says "Are you human" I used the word it had me type. Strange place to find inspiration but pretty cool too.
