James K. Polk is number 11.
 It was said he was a successful politician.
He settled the border conflict between Canada and Oregon.
He was president from coast to coast.

James K Polk was said to lack charisma and fame. 
When he first ran for president no one know him.
Even his opponent had to ask.
"Who is James K Polk?"

James K Polk had a long term relationship with his secretary.
She was a married women.
 The secretary was married to the President
Her husband was James K Polk.

James K Polk's wife was not well liked.
She did not allow card playing, dancing or drinking.
I wonder if they were ever allowed to have fun?
He loved her and that's all that matters.

James K Polk wanted Texas in the union.
This led to the Mexican war.
The U.S. was victorious.
James K. Polk had acquired Oregon, Idaho, Washington, New Mexico and more.

James K Polk left the presidency in 1849.
He was so tired and worn out.
He didn't have much of a retirement.
He died 103 days after he left office.

He did a lot. He expanded the USA to double it size. I didn't know he had a side girlfriend. Interesting facts on a good President. Thank you.
