He was Minister to France and Britain.
He studied law under Thomas Jefferson.

James Monroe was a mason.
He chased his secretary of state out with fire tongs.
He was the last founding father. 
James Monroe was never photographed.

James Monroe has a capital named after him.
The name of this capital is Monrovia.
He also was the first president to ride a steamboat.
He was also first to hold two offices at the same time.

James Monroe wrote a famous write.
He name this write after himself.
Do you know what it is?
The Monroe Doctrine which no longer tolerate European intervention in North and south America.

Well, I have told you about our 5th president.

So this is James Monroe.

[for Jefferson, Madison, and Monroe] I love these poems! History has always fascinated me. You do a great job with these for sure! I've noticed a few minor errors in tense and things like that, but nothing terribly distracting. I'll keep reading until I get through all of them!

Jame Monroe saw the future. He made some wise decisions. He was a very good President. Good to know the present and look to the future. Thank you for sharing the thoughts on Outstanding President.
