You Are What I Need

Hey I'm back with another piece of poetry from poetic book! It's a love poem so mushy and gushy stuff, fair warning. It's about a girl I miss and want to be with, so hope y'all enjoy!

Thought we are apart

I feel closer to no one else.

Though we are only friends

I feel no greater love for anyone.

Though you may not know this

I feel you are the only one

Who needs me.

Many may want me and call that need,

They are my friends and family.

They want me around, want me to be,

None of them know this or see.

You truly need me there for you,

To help you through your faults in life.

That I can surely, easily do

So you can lead a life with less strife.

But it works both ways...

Without you,

I feel sadder.

With you,

I feel weaker.

Without you,

I feel lesser.

So, I truly need you.

I need you to just be there,

To see your words everyday

Or a smile across your face.

It may only be through pictures,

But that smile makes the day

Easier.

One day, when we can see each other,

Not just once but many times,

Then maybe you will realize it too.

That you need me and I need you.

Just to be there, just to care.

That day, you'll embrace me and the truth,

Then maybe we can have life to share.

You are what I need,

More than anything.
