Spring Has Sprung And So Will IA Poem by nickchidiacThe magnetic warmth of the weather is Pulling my imagination out the door, Yet my a*s stays planted in a hard plastic chair In the back of the most vanilla classroom I’ve ever seen. Staring at the back half of a spike haired frat boy, I cant help but listen to his bragging To cowardly acquaintances about His most recent run in with the law. To my right is a fast asleep pregnant woman And I am so uninterested. This schooling serves no purpose in molding me into What I want to be, The zeitgeist of all that is Teenage angst and boredom. Math class wont help me solve The clever word equations in my head and I sure as hell don’t need geography to find My pen and tattered pad of paper. Yet here I sit, Watching a grey haired man Writing illegible nonsense on his chalkboard And droaning on about god knows what. Wow this is so pointless. I’m out of here. I have more legitimate puzzle to query. © 2010 nickchidiacAuthor's Note
