Morning Mind

A lonely vibration wakes me from my slumber,

And grants me wicked whims to wonder,

Like abandoned ships I beg to plunder,

It turns me over,

It turns me under,

My manic joy is cast asunder.

That thoughtless thief’s thrown storms of thunder

What tomorrow sees for you and me,

Taken from these thoughts I breed,

And for the love of god and greed,

I long to leave you loved indeed,

But memories have long decreed,

You better off in the arms of he.

So leave my love

And leave my need,

And leave my mourning mind to me.

its a bit sad but when it hits you, it hits you I guess. Plus I pretty much dig it. What do you think?

this is a bit sad but it takes a very strong person to admit that they are perfect have done things wrong that have cause this reaction. the flow of the poem is easy to follow and the meaning behind this is sad and eye opening. Nice write.

I like the tempo this seems to have. It had a nice easy flow to it and wasn't to outragiously worded with large intricate words that make my poor little brain fumble from time to time, haha. I did enjoy this. And don't be concerned with it being sad. Sadness is a very powerful emotion and is a common and strong provider for inspiration.
