A Chapter by Nickalas Cannon

Jefferson gets out of his car, runs inside and slams into the hidden door. "Hey Collins, you down here!?" "Yeah!" He goes downstairs and walks towards Collins. "Get me out of these cuffs, it brings bad memories." He helps him out and Collins gets up. "Who did this Collins?" "McKenzie Zelc and John Switz." "Do you want me to take care of them?" "No, I will take care of them. It's my unfinished business." "Then what should I do?" "Make sure no one gets in my way."

A walkie-talkie goes off, "Hey, John. It's me McKenzie, switch to channel five, you have to hear this." John is driving in the Crown Victoria again and he looks back in his rear view mirror and sees McKenzie behind him. He finds the walkie-talkie and changes it to the channel and listens. "Watch where your going you buffoon! You almost hit the machine, that would've blown our whole entire experiment!" John keeps listening and switches it back to the original channel, "McKenzie, you there?" "Yeah," she answers back. "Did they take out the car from the lake?" "Which one?" "The first one, did they take out the first one?" "No, because they terminated your case before they took it out of the lake?" "So, it's still in the lake?" "Yeah it should be, where are you going with this John?" "Do you know anyway to get the car out." "Yeah, but that's gonna take a few days to get what we need." "Let's go to the site anyways, I want to find something."
They arrive at the site, parked on the side of the road. John and McKenzie walk up to the still smashed guard rail. "How deep do you think this lake is," John asks with a smile that concerns McKenzie. "I couldn't say." "Come on McKenzie, your a Detective, you should know how deep it is." "I'm not a fan of lakes, so I wouldn't know." "Well, I think you know how deep the lake is, but you won't tell me because your wandering what I'm about to do?" John takes his jacket off, "So, I guess I'm just gonna have to find out for myself." He starts running down the slope, "John, no!" He dives inside the lake, swimming down slowly. John gets deeper and deeper, and he has sight of the car, his car. McKenzie is out of the water, still on the street, worried. John steps on ground, next to the car. The car is covered in seaweed, moss and dirt. He searches around the car, touching the tires, anything. John doesn't find anything, crouches on the ground to help him get a boost up to get out. A few minutes past and John comes out gasps for air and progresses his way out of the lake. John walks up slowly to the street, dripping wet, and tells McKenzie, "You took the wrong car." He walks past her and she comes around him, "What do you mean, 'I took the wrong car'." "I mean you police officers took the wrong car. There should be a hole close to the tire, but there wasn't." John gets ahead of her and yells back, "I'm taking your car and I'm going back to my house to get some clothes." "I'm gonna have to take it back, you know?" "Yeah, when I'm done." John drives away, going back to his home in the Crown Victoria. McKenzie gets in the other car and starts it, she closes the door and drives off.
