Anna Kendrick stuns in an elegant velvet berry dress with a plunging neckline as she joins co-star James Corden at Into The Woods photocall

She’s playing Cinderella in the hotly-anticipated Disney Christmas blockbuster, Into The Woods.

And Anna Kendrick stuck to the wintry woodland theme as she attended a London photocall for the movie alongside co-star James Corden.

The 29-year-old actress struck a sultry pose in the berry-coloured velvet pencil dress, which featured a daring plunging neckline and a flattering cinched-in waist to highlight her svelte frame as she worked her magic in front of the camera at the Corinthia Hotel on Friday morning.

The Pitch Perfect star teamed the gothic-inspired look with a pair of dark stilettos with dominatrix style ankle straps, leaving her dark tresses to cascade in gentle waves past her shoulders.

Anna was made up in a subtle autumnal colours, with just a dewy pink flush to her cheeks and berry lips to complement her ivory complexion.

Her co-star James Corden, 36, who plays the Baker in the film, carried on the wintry theme.

The actor was decked out in a checked red and navy blazer over a simple black T-shirt and smart trousers, which he teamed with checked dark green slip-ons.

Anna and James will be starring in the Rob Marshall-directed film interpretation of the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that revolves around various characters from Grimm fairy tales.

Even though this was a dream role for Anna, she told Entertainment Tonight that she had a tough song to sing in her part.

The actress revealed: 'It's a register I haven't sung in before. I hope I'm not being biased to say I think it's one of the most challenging songs in the piece.'

Into The Woods picked up three Golden Globe nominations from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association on Thursday morning.

It received nominations for Best Picture, Best Actress for Emily Blunt as the Baker's Wife, and Best Supporting Actress for Meryl Streep, who plays the Witch.

The film version also stars Hollywood A-listers Chris Pine and Johnny Depp.
