They're due for a very high-profile strut down the catwalk on Tuesday night.

Yet that didn't stop Victoria's Secret models Joan Smalls and Lily Donaldson from flocking to the 2014 British Fashion Awards in London for an evening of pre-runway banter on Monday.

With their annual lingerie show to take place the very next night, the girls were no doubt politely turning down alcoholic beverages to avoid an unnecessary hangover as they stampeded down the runway.

Joan sizzled in a daring black dress that featured a very plunging neckline, as well as a scattering of strategically placed cut-outs that bared her torso and upper thigh.

The stunning 26-year-old wore her brunette locks in relaxed waves, and added a dash of colour with a slick of ruby red lipstick.

Her modelling friend, Lily, 27, opted for a racy sheer dress that fell over a modest sleeveless leotard.

She pulled half of her sunny blonde locks back, while letting the rest fall wild in beachy waves.

Meanwhile, Karolina Kurkova bared her slender and sculpted shoulders in sleeveless naval orange dress that nipped at her waistline with a dramatic bow.

She paired the look with a matching coat of lipstick, and ensured her flawless face took center stage with her locks slicked back into a taut bun.

Her Victoria's Secret colleague, Karlie Kloss, 22, looked the height of fashion in a backless silver dress that hugged her pert derriere.

At one point, Karlie and Joan puckered up to peck model Cara Delevingne, who was named Model Of The Year that night.

The model, who has walked the Victoria's Secret show in the past, was the recipient of the same honour in 2012.

She is expected to walk the Chanel's Métiers d'Art fashion show in Salzburg on December 2, though her attendance has yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, the annual lingerie spectacle will be set in London for the first time, where Victoria's Secret favourites Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Behati Prinsloo will showcase the latest new looks.
