Kissing is Gross

Kissing is Gross

Fel and Brynn discuss their daughter and get a little carried away

"

Tiny puffs of air flitted across my cheeks, and I cracked open an eye to stare at my youngest child, who was predictably still asleep on my chest. Draped in the early morning light, Mia Slythvenos was a chubby 5-year old with wild curly hair, with eyes that matched her father’s down to the last speck of gold, and she was my daughter. Smiling, I ran my hand through her hair as she stirred in her sleep, she was so adorable.

“Is she still asleep?”

Turning my head, I found my husband, Brynn, watching Mia with a content, almost gentle smile that he usually only reserved for me.

“Yeah”

A thunderstorm had blown in last night and Mia had come running. Brynn had tried to placate her, as he was usually her favorite; however, she chose to sleep with me. Shifting, I transferred Mia between us, my body along with Brynn’s curving towards hers, forming a protective cocoon of warmth around her. She snuggled closer towards Brynn’s body, enjoying the warmth. We watched her like this for a few minutes, with Brynn running a finger softly along her jaw, and me combing my fingers through her hair.

“She’s so small and soft,” I whispered, fascinated with this tiny creature that we had created together. A grunt from Brynn signaled he agreed with me. “She’s my favorite.” He suddenly said. I gasped and reached across to lightly slap his chest.

“Don’t say that we can’t choose favorites!”

His lips upturned and he gave me a look as if to say you don’t agree with me? He just had to waggle his eyebrows, and the look would be complete. Regardless, I found myself smiling. “Ok, but this is just between us.”

Holding up my pinky, I gave Brynn a stern look. “Promise?”

Rolling his eyes, Brynn grasped my pinky with his own, squeezed it, and then leaned down to graze his lips across my fingers. It tickled, but it made me smile nonetheless. He watched me as he trailed his lips across my knuckles, down the back of my hand, and then turned my wrist over to place a kiss on the joint. My heart beating hard, I felt myself begin to blush, suddenly craving his lips to be somewhere else. Reaching forward, I cupped his face in both hands before placing a kiss on his lips. I had meant it to be chaste; however, his hand suddenly snaked around the back of my neck, holding me there and ultimately deepening the kiss. Running his tongue across my bottom lip, he barely even paused before sweeping his tongue inside my mouth with practiced ease. I couldn’t help the tiny whimper that escaped, which I should have swallowed because this only drove him into a frenzy. Tiny hands suddenly pushed our faces away with a shriek, and we looked down to see our daughter gazing up at us with fire in her eyes.

“Kissing is gross, you should stop, I may throw up on you.” Mia threatened keeping our faces away from each other. Exchanging a knowing look with Brynn, I removed my hands from around his neck and reached down to kiss Mia’s nose.

“Is this gross?” I asked

“Well no…”

“How about this?” I kissed her cheeks and chin.

“No.”

“What about this?” Brynn piped up swooping in to kiss Mia’s neck, her one weakness.

Screams of laughter erupted from the tiny girl, and she tried to push Brynn’s head away from her, but it was all in vain. Brynn was an immovable force when he wanted to be. I loved mornings like this.
