Just A Post

 

I've wanted to post so I knew I hadn't been forgotten or if I had been so you could remember that I was still here. So I looked through my notebooks and email drafts and wondered "what do I want the world to see of me? What do I want them to know about me?" I pondered and thought and I just didn't know. Should I post a story or a poem? Should it be happy or sad? Should it be about love or hate? Should there be action or should it be more emotional? So I lay in bed and wondered. So I decided to post this. Now from you I must ask a favor. Give me a challenge, maybe even a quest. What is it that you would like me to write? Is there something you would like to see me venture from what you have seen already from me? Leave a comment and who knows, your wish just might be my command.

I reckon BR is on the right track, .. Vegas! But maybe just one part like the NYNY roller coaster, the light thing in the pyramid or even, the gob smacked tourists (like me) who just walk around gaping saying 'this can't be real'

Write a poem about the first thing that you remember as a child. I remember a set of beautiful milk glass bowls and glasses covered with pictures of Dutch windmills that I was served breakfast in as a child, paintings of ships at sea on the walls, sunrise at a large window, and a decorated brass door.

That sounds super pretty and I'll have to think really hard on that one, its hard to remember what I did last week some days hahahaha :) but I will definitely try

Your first memory would need to be filled with a beautiful ambiance or otherwise you would never have remembered it from chldhood.

As of right now, there isn't one specific event that comes to mind from my childhood. I'm not quite sure why though.

Why would you repress your childhood memories? Somewhere deep within is found a vision of all the invisible strings that stealthily pull upon your conscious mind. Within your Inner Child is found the key to your personality, reasons for your past behavior, and the harbinger of your future.

I'm not at all trying to repress it that's the last thing I want to do, I'm just saying that there isn't one specific event or place that stands out significantly from other memories.

Childhood events are significant at the moment that we have them. When's the first time that you experienced snow on your windowsill, a blue bird, a cloud, a thunderstorm, a flower, and so forth? How about the first birthday that you remember, that first day at school, your first trip to the zoo, or that first amusement park ride. Who taught you how to peel and eat an orange? I remember most of my childhood from three years of age on.

This is smart.
I've had writer's block for about a month now. I hate it. It won't go away.
Did what I did - post something on your blog. It's a benefit of owning an account of Writer's Cafe. Tell about youself to the world, like I did just a few minutes ago. Maybe you'll discover something about youself that you didn't know. Or maybe it's just a way to remind the writing world that you aren't finished.
Either way, I like the blog feature. You should try it!
