“Hello is that the help line?”
“Yes”
“Oh good! It’s about the computer I bought from you.”
“How can we help?”
“I can’t find the instruction book.”
“The instruction book is on the disc.”
“What’s a disc?”
“Look in the clear plastic envelope.”
“Is it a little silver record?”
“No it’s a C D. The instructions are on it.”
“All it says is insert into the C D Rom drive”
“That’s right.”
“What’s a C D Rom drive?”
“It tells you on the disc”
“There’s nothing else to read on it.”
“You don’t have to read it. The computer reads it.”
“How does it do that then?”
“You load the disc and it all comes on the screen.”
“What comes on the screen?”
“Full instructions on how to plug in all the cables correctly, boot up
the computer, insert the disc and access the information you need.”
“Thanks, you have been most helpful.”
“Don’t mention it. This call has cost you £1 per minute.”
