A shore thingA Poem by Keith CharlesA poem about erosian
A shore thing
Pick a pebble from the shore and hold it in your hand Future seas will wear it down to just a grain of sand
There's nowhere you can put it that the waters will not reach This land of ours we call our home will just be one more beach
Tides roll in and tides roll out and wear our world away Until there's little land about where anyone can stay
The seas will rise before our eyes and swallow up the hills Until man flies to alien skies or grows a pair of gills
