Lady Cliff and the Sea SkyA Poem by Haley SmithThere. Do you see that there? The small wolf by the jagged cliff. The booming clouds overhead, unsettling, like they could swallow you and snag you up into their sinister journey. The rays play red rover, fighting to break through the black, but I only see a speck of white. There. Do you see her face? Etched in that craggy, stepchild mountain. Her neck has wilted to the side. Her eyes like two immaculate ruins of one bomb, two bombs. Just black, black, but though there is nothing, you feel it. The fear, the frenzy. You hear it too. Sharp, sharp as a knife, your neck turns when you hear a shriek in the distance. But the wolf is long gone and the gray pierces your sight. She's here. With her wolf, her sky, her home in the rock.
