Deadful Man

Deadful Man

A Poem by Mason Watts

I once walked with LOVE,

On a strange and lonely road,

He spoke of different stories,

Of strange things untold

I learned he was deceitful,

A lying, thieving soul.

I learned he was a dangerous man,

Slaughtering all the souls

That came to him for answers

But with none they found

He killed them with his power

With beauty, and gold.

It tricks us with all it does

Dishonesty is his friend.

He walks hand-in-hand with HATE

With JOY, and with SORROW.

He talks with them so often,

You might even call them friends.

The last thing I want to say,

About that dreadful man LOVE,

Is that he loves to hate,

He loves himself and all he does

He is perfect is his eyes.

He may look beautiful through naïve eyes

But don’t be fooled

That man LOVE is a dreadful man.

You've expressed a wisdom well beyond your years here, which is beautiful to see.
There are some great thoughts here, my favorite part is the first dozen lines or so, where the poem flows best, has a finished feel. Perhaps you may want to retouch the last half? But this is very good work, young man. Keep writing.
