VOLCAN

Un fuego permanente: eterno ;

en tu interior , la lava , deslizando,

debajo de los recuerdos,

abonando rosas rojas .

En tus faldas, los cafetales , el cacao ;

seres antiguos habitan tus fincas :

así como antaño , así se encuentra hoy ,

tu desahogo de humo,

después de un feroz estallido;

tremores subterráneos ,

seguido por el silencio ;

dos niños ríen ;

los pájaros revolotean en el palto;

la bugambilia trepando ;

desamparado , desconsolado ,

cementerios ocultos ,

lentamente…….el jaguar avanza ;

la niebla oculta todo ,

el volcán despierta……………….

fuego, cenizas …. lo cubren todo.

 VOLCANO

A permanent fire, eternal;

inside you, lava gliding,

below the memories,

fertilizing red roses.

At your feet, coffee plantations, cocoa;

ancient beings live in your haciendas;

like before, the same, we find it now……

your smoking relief, after a fierce explosion;

underground tremors;

followed by silence…….two children laugh;

the birds in the avocado tree;

the bugambilia climbs,

forlorn; disconsolate,

hidden cemeteries;

slowly, the jaguar moves,

the fog, hides it all;

the volcano arouses;

fire, ashes;

ashes covering it all…….
