Desert Mothers

Desert Mothers

A Poem by Emomoemi Johnson Newcourt

I swept the dusty winds
far beyond the burning horizons
the desert mothers have fed the storms with floating fears
with bloated tears
they've called
for you and waited
with the gloat of a cynic.

Short but full of burning lines.

Wow, stunning metaphor here, a most excellent piece...impressive in its surrealness :)
