Reverse Time Bomb

Reverse Time Bomb

A Poem by New Theory
"

We go back in time between destruction and creation, there exists a choice, that changes our lives. It was always nothing and it will be nothing.

"
Pieces coming together, gushing inside.
Arranging itself in perfect order.
Going back, mending its own cracks.
Making it work, making it click, tock-tick.
Receding into a scratch-less watch.
New, glistening, flawless hands rotating anti clock wise.

Perfection, is what you see here, truth, honesty.
As it sings with the voice of universe.
It will be for always this way, never shall it break.
But its still not the beginning, the beginning shall follow.

Pieces coming apart, pulled out with precision.
Taken apart slowly in order,
keeping the various part in its homogeneous group.
In this group, it's lifeless, just parts.
Now nothing, but just an idea inside a mind.

Scattered, unsure, is what you can only think you see.
But still the truth exists,
there is nothing and there shall be none.
In the middle however there shall be something.
Something incredible and magnificent.

Depends on you how you use that something.

Wow, you reversed the bomb into oblivion. If only that could happen in real life, imagine a war without weapons.. Maybe there wouldn't be war or death. That sounds nice. ^^
This reminds me of something Ice burg said in One Piece, though I can't tell you word for word. >.<
Anywho! Well done!

Ah, I see in this poem the clockwork of a mind straining itself to produce such a vivid and writhing thought that seems to invent itself. Yet, in the process of creation, I notice the unmistakeable nature of a perfectionist at work, attempting painstakingly to perfect what is in the mind before it ever departs and expresses itself in paper, much like how a poem seems living to us writers, how a character in the pieces we write slowly and mysteriously writes themselves and details every aspect even before they are officially penned into motion.

I especially like the mentions to thoughts as if they were pieces, scattered among other thoughts and perhaps *are* other thoughts, per se, prior to associating them with the now present idea formulating in our minds like a gear piece that fits perfectly in the clock we are trying to make, a piece that brings us a step closer to starting the contraption and setting into observable motion the thoughts we have thriving in our active minds.

Your choice to use a clock as a metaphor was brilliant, especially in reference to how the device is made, then kickstarted. Clever indeed, keep it up, Theory.

I agree with KL, that first verse was really enticing. I enjoyed this very much so! I also love the line, "Now nothing, but just an idea inside a mind". Isn't that how everything begins? Beautiful! (:
