Innocence LostA Poem by New TheoryWhat does not kill you makes you stronger.Innocent eyes filled with tears She cried and her innocence washed away. Now a cynic she believes in none. Broken carriage with a passenger of only one. She rides in the cold windy roads To an endless night her path unfolds. The chilling wind cuts her skin Bleeding charred skin from the outside Just like her heart on the inside. Reaching on the highest cliff. She drops the anvil of her. Now there is nothing she fears. As she sheds her old, dried sins At long last the sun rises. And she is the one who wins.
