A day which will live in infamy

A day which will live in infamy

A Poem by New New
"

I've gone mad!

"
It was played across all major news networks
Every house hold was made aware
Parents warned their children
Fear could be sensed in the air
Unlocked doors became a thing of the past
The grip on reality was fading all too fast
There's a madman running loose in the streets
The kind who makes people hide under their sheets
Tell your neighbor, everyone must know:
Today marks the day where I lost CONTROL.

This sounds very lyrical, and the word strongly and emotionally reinforced.
Nice rhythm to it and flow- just be sure not to pick your rhymes just to fit with the scheme. The piece becomes more centered structurally when they seem effortless. Nice work!
