Absolutely Positively

Thought of this back in high school.

Voices, voices, voices all around.

It is impossible for some to not make a sound.

Why can't we just see that the world is a better place,

when we take a step back and get out of each others face.

Sit back, laugh and enjoy each others company.

There doesn't have to be stress, there's no point, trust in me.

Being calm is a foreign concept to some,

I find it impossible to be heated when I step into the sun.

Get in your car, blast the music and cruise,

roll the windows down, people hating is old news.

As the seasons drag on, the world continues to turn.

Everything around you slowly begins to burn,

with the flames of happiness and the embers of joy.

Put a smile on your face, wear it proudly, like a decoy.

Distract others from the negative, make them focus on the positive.

Turn on the news, go right ahead I dare you.

You might like what you see, but probably not, sadly it's true.

This world we live in is going downhill, look around:

New issues each day, increasing the weight of stress by the pound.

Bail-outs happening left and right, how is it that congress can sleep at night?

It's times like these where everyone needs to stop the hate, put the stress on pause and play the carefree.

We as a nation have bigger problems than us individually wondering "Why did that person disrespect me?"

Just brush it aside, we will all understand eventually
