The Fairy and The Logger

The Fairy and The Logger

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom
"

I was inspired by some old instagram captions I made many many years ago.

Mother nature always knows
Sudden highs, and sudden lows
Pick me ups, and the worstest foes
Mother nature always knows
She always said it never goes

He walked down one long street one day
He saw the forest and thought to stay
He strolled on in with a big wide grin
Today would be the day
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
This would be the day

She saw him from the tree top branch
She wished there'd be an avalanche
Send her to him with the snow fall
Just so she'd have a chance
Please, oh, please
Let her have a chance

He saw a twinkle in the tree
He thought the sun, but it was she
She felt her heart beat
Her heart filled with glee
Ho ha ha, please oh please
He saw her in the tree

Mother nature felt a certain twinge
A sudden shiver, weird type cringe
Suddenly broke open a furious wind
Mother nature felt a certain twinge
Her loving forest hit a sudden dinge

He was a sturdy logger
A stable tree trunk hogger
He felt a raindrop land on his hand
But didn't think to bother
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
He didn't even bother

She landed on his finger
And let herself linger
She was in love, that's for sure
She was known to be a singer
Please, oh, please
She proved she was a singer

She rose her voice
He had no choice
He heard her little words
The little fairy, not so moist
Ho ha ha, please oh please
He heard her little voice

Mother nature began to fume
Her anger cloud began to loom
Upon the forest a lack of bloom
Mother nature began to fume
A sudden impending patch of doom

He looked down right
And saw the sprite
She looked right back at him
She flit her wings, and started flight
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
But something, somewhere wasn't right

She kissed his nose
Then she froze
As he laughed a cachinnation
Mother nature always knows
Please, oh, please
She knew how mother nature knows

Don't worry, little fairy
You needn't worry a single hairy
Said the logger rest assured
Little fairy, worry of nary
Ho ha ha, please oh please
He let her worry nary

Mother nature started to wind
She wasn't happy with what she'd find
All her rules were left behind
Mother nature started to wind
The covering vines started to bind

The logger took the fairy far
Out the woods into his car
She gawked at the strange thing
He took her to the Ye Olde Bar
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
Straight into the bar

She saw all his friends
From under all their beard ends
He showed them his little fairy
But they thought of dividends
Please, oh, please
Their plentiful dividends

His good ol' buddy Jack
Thought to give him a pat on the back
As he grabbed the little fairy
Boy could he yak
Ho ha ha, please oh please
Jack talked a lot of smack

Mother nature felt her winds stirring
Her leaves whirring
Her boldend anger luring
Mother nature felt her winds stirring
And her black clouds curing

Blinded by the money
The logger didn't see it wasn't so sunny
The fairy tried to flee Jack's grasp
Now it wasn't so funny
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
She could feel it in her tummy

She started to fear
With the words she hear
That he found a ripened forest
They gathered near
Please, oh, please
Don't bring the loggers near

They locked her in
A sardine tin
And started on their way
They knew for sure that they'd win
Ho ha ha, please oh please
They each had a widened grin

Mother nature began her roar
The flooded ground of the forest floor
She awaited loggers at her door
Mother nature began her roar
She let her reign soar

The loggers drove right up into
To cut the trees in half, in two
The fairy crawled her way out from the can
And away she flew
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
She made sure they never knew

She flew so fast to reach the queen
To turn the forest back to green
To reverse what she had done in pair
With the logger in his denim jeans
Please, oh, please
A nightmare turned from her innocent dreams

The loggers revved their saw machines
Wind and rain fell heavy from the nature queen
As a fairy cried the fire of the war blazed
Trees fell to the ground straight clean
Ho ha ha, please oh please
Then something happened that she had never seen

The logger halted his team right then and there
The mother queen could only stare
He reached his hands up in the air
The logger halted his team right then and there
And mother nature stopped her stream

Mother nature, we mean no harm, we'll take your fallen trees
Plant new ones here and save the bees
Mother nature called the smallest fairy out of her hiding place
And allowed her to follow when he leaves
Ho ha ha, Ho ha ha
She was allowed to follow his lead

The little fairy grew 10 times her size
Right before the loggers very eyes
Her wings disappeared as she ran to him
For mother nature knew how the heart desires
Please, oh, please
He was wiser than she thought to realize

They left happy, together
In the clearing weather
They returned each fall to plant seeds
Just as she saved him, he saved her
Ho ha ha, please oh please
Hearts lifted, light as a feather

Mother nature always knows
Sudden highs, and sudden lows
Pick me ups, and the worstest foes
Mother nature always knows
Her gracious nature's always shows

I really loved the flow of this is was like mother nature. And the way she works her magic on the ebb and flow of the tide on the shoreline. A figure of speech wise. Watching it as it does it thing. Your poem was in touch with mother nature. And her ways. Great observation and insight.
