Paper House

Paper House

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

Paper cards make up my paper house
A windy day and a tissue blouse
It's cold in here as the walls cave in
In this world I can never win
The ceiling falls
As my heart calls
For a barricade to protect me from
The angry wind who thinks I'm dumb

Can you help me out, Mr. Protector
I'll never shout, I'm a strong lonely specter
Ghost white and crystal clear
Please keep me warm when you are near
I'm not afraid, I'm just alone
I'm only scared when you're not home
I'll let you in like a hungry mouse
To fix my fallen paper house
