My Boyfriend, The Astronaut

My Boyfriend, The Astronaut

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

Dear Spaceman,
Can you hear my heart out there?
Spaceman, my love
Do you even care?

Mr. Astronaut,
Is it okay that I'm caught?
Because my heart is tied
And yours is not

Spaceman Oh, Spaceman
Did you know I love you this much?
You're out in space
And so far from my touch

Buccaneer of the vast
How you make my heart beat fast
When the sun goes down
The moon turns around
And she wears your name like lipstick
Just as I do when you're in the void

Man of vastitude
I love your deadly attitude
Your eyes are dark
Yet beneath lays a spark
Constant fire burning
Sexual desire churning

Celestial king
The intensity you bring
Shows me a world so bright
With lost hairs and dead end prayers
Nothing feels more right

Spaceman in space
This isn't a race
I can wait all of time for you
For you to love me too

My dear man-at-war
It's okay if it leaves a scar
Mangled men are just the same
As the ones who aren't to blame
