Wasteland of hearts

Wasteland of hearts

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

In the unbearable wasteland that is my heart
I plant trees, but they grow apart
An atemporal tornado season
I'm slowly dying 'cause I'm barely breathin'
I'm holding my breath to see what's next
It seems to me that I've been vexed
There's nothing I know to do better
Than hide when there's stormy weather
My desert so dry
Though I weep and cry
Nothing flourishes in these parts
I stand up and fall
Or not stand at all
From the tornado in my wasteland of hearts
