In a Dream

A poem about a dream I had

In a dream he had hugged me

His loving embrace so kind and warm

I could feel the love reverting

To how it had begun

So soft and tender

Never want to leave

I remember

Waking up, about to sob and heave

For what I felt was never real

Long had I missed the feeling

Of heartfelt arms around me

The dream had me reeling

But it was simply that, a dream

as I had done before
our hands outstretched
but not meeting
a symbol of our
unconsummated love

I've been busy since my mom broke her foot, and had a surgery prior to that. Haven't had much time to write. I actually had a dream where a boy hugged me, I almost woke up crying lol Not sure if they were happy or sad tears.
