One Month Whole

Been with my boyfriend for one month today.

This ineffable love that we keep 

Has lasted 4 whole weeks 

What serendipity has lead to us 

Is ethereal and wondrous 

And for this I thank you 

You made the first move 

And, oh, how it caught me off guard 

Before I told you I loved you 

It was bominating in my head 

Or in my heart 

Like something of an art 

It has lead me to you 

Better than petrichor, 

Or vellichor, 

Or knocks on the door 

The effervescence in my tummy makes me giggle 

Not just a lot, more than a little 

What I assumed would be ephemeral 

Took me from dark solitude 

And brought me an aurora of it all 

There must have been a great syzygy 

Because the way you make me feel is "Oh my" and "Oh gee" 

And I close my eyes and think of you 

See these iridescent colours of our love true 

And I'm whisked away into oblivion 

As I lay supine 

You are mine 

And I'll use my eloquence as best I can 

To take four to ten, and never end

A nice cheerful write about love. Thank you, I often come across romance poems that are sad, but this is not common and very enjoyable. I liked the line "See these iridescent colors of our love true " -Good work!

You seem to be very good for each other if the joy in this is anything to go by. Your language is really bubbly and light here reflecting the joy you are finding in this relationship.

I had to reach for the dictionary, what... 4 times and i think vellichor is my new favourite word. I wonder if moonskittles has seen this one. (joking)

Well english isn't his first language so I usually ask him after I send him my poems which words he doesn't understand so I can tell him what they mean, but I know he appreciates it.
