Various remnants of heartbreak - Open Sores

I get sad a lot and cry out poems.

I didn't want to write about you 

But it seems I failed at that too 

Maybe that's just me 

A sole failuree 

I see you've opened up your doors 

It's opened all my healed up sores 

I promised I'd go away 

It makes me sad to say 

I've kept that deal 

I guess heartbroken wounds never heal 

Its sad to say goodbye 

To my favorite guy 

 Goodbye

This isn't about physical sores, its about emotional ones.

Emotional pain is so well expressed in this poem. To reconcile a heartbreak is very difficult -the traces always remain, but hopefully they will give our spirit strength one day. The sole failuree is an interesting choice of words and clever; very honest and well written. Thank you. Dale

HI my friend
This is a well penned revisiting of pains induced by events in the past. The tone is well set by the first two lines - the speaker's state of mind and overall opinion of their 'self' is well conveyed in two short lines.
I would have opted for another word instead of 'sole' - maybe 'chronic failuree' to futher drive home the point that the subject feels they always fail. (I never heard of a 'failuree' before but its a grand word - thanks for the new word).

The end of the poem demonstrates the innate strength of the speaker since they are the one saying Goodbye - allbeit for a second (or third/fourth whatever) time, but it shows they are still in charge of their own destiny, which is s very strong position to even feel to be in.
