Various Remnants of Heartbreak - poem 7

I get sad a lot and cry out poems.

I can say a thousand words

To tell you how I feel

A thousand words feels like a thousand birds

Fluttering pain that doesn't heal

A soft feather gives me a bruise

I never asked for this

The only thing that heals my ache, from you, is another kiss

Everything I get from you is another thing to lose

A tender beating wing, he said

Its been battered a million times

My heart for you had sang, he's dead

It sang in words of rhyme

But a shattered tear

And a shattered heart

Will cry from fear

Tears fall apart

From rusted open doors

My ache for you is a billion years

My ventricles are sore

And there's sadness in my ears
