Random Poems - Christmas Time

A Poem by Ariana Omnomnom

Randomly chosen from my poetry journals.

Christmas time is coming soon
The radio plays a Christmas tune
Cheeks are frozen cold
Tradition, years so old
Jack Frost makes window art
The kids take it all to heart
Excitement for the day
The day that all the children play
Candy canes and gingerbread
Sugar plums dance in their head
Waiting for the snow
Their happy faces start to glow
Waking early, Santa came
Now it's all just a game
Pretty wrapping torn
Christmas socks are worn
Soon it will all be done
It's just one day, only one
But all is yet to come
For now you hear the choir hum
