For the past two years or so any involvement with love has seriously traumatized me, like having the guy I thought loved me just completely disappear out of my life. Not a single trace of him to be found.

I've heard of that many times. Some guys don't have it in them to face their girlfriends and tell them how they're feeling.

And in basically every long distance relationship I attempted since has ended up with me in the dark and alone. They just abandon me and I have no idea why.

Yeah, I'm not surprised that a guy might become frustrated or bored with me.
What really bothers me is that they don't think they can just tell me about the problem.

Lots of guys are that way. That's nothing new. If you ask other woman they'll probably say the same thing.

I know. I tried for 3 months to get my last boyfriend to tell me why he suddenly started to hate me, and he just won't tell.

Hmm? don't know. Perhaps familiarity breeds contempt. Maybe not?

It was only a week long relationship, he kind of just switched from "I love you. We should get married" to "I hate you. Never even think about me ever again."

I honestly don't know, like, I even knew and talked to his little sisters frequently and even still talk to his mother sometimes.
