Sadness lane

 I feel your pain

I feel it as I walk in vain

The tears streak my cheeks

For weeks and weeks

When I walk your streets

As I feel so bleak

My lover's fled

From my bed

Can't find a trace

He's made real haste

I miss him so

Fills me with sorrow

I get my fill of depression

I just wanna tell him "You're the only one"

Sadness lane

You play your game

With my heart

You tear me apart

I wait for the day I can leave your road

So I can live and not corrode

But all kidding aside, your sad tale is one that is told too often. The temporary lover only looking to satisfy his own needs is a selfish fool. He hasn't got the maturity to handle a relationship. I often wonder if guys like that ever look back and realize what they had. Such is life,

Actually that guy has been my best friend ever since, and he's a good one too.
What actually happened in the end was that he cared too much about to me to hurt me by being with me when he wasn't romantically interested. Turns out he doesn't really believe in "love".
All that aside, he's the best kind of person to be my best friend.

Glad to hear that he turned out to be a good friend. Poems are not often written with that as an end result. You're one of the lucky ones. Good for you. :)

I use poetry as a coping method, that's why the majority of my poems are absolutely dripping in tears of hopelessness.
I also use it to settle my emotions so I also have mostly love poems.

You'll find many poems here with a tear spot hidden somewhere in the corner. Writing is always a great remedy for expressing ourselves, whether it be a love poem or a poem of sorrow. Write on and express yourself anyway you desire I say.
