it'll be over, eventually

the things i think of when i want to sleep...

Alas, dear, when there will be no one
besides you, holding you, 

telling you it's all right, and it'll all pass away, forgotten. 

Not that you had someone to begin with...but the thought lingered. 

Fear not, do not drown helplessly in the tears your eyes shed. 

Do not let the crippling fear of abandonment consume you again 

in moments when it all seems to fade away 

and when the night is too dark to see 

or when the night just won't pass away, 

and your hands reach out, to soothe your worried heart 

close your eyes 

wait for the sun to come up 

and do not dread waking up again 

one day, you shall achieve the peace you desire,

and you'll paint a painful smile over your face... momentarily 

and let your eyes to a permanent rest, as you breathe your last 

you'll be free, at last.
