Dark Hours

Dark Hours

A Poem by Mk.t.g
"

"Is there anyone who's afraid of losing me?"

"
No one to comfort me in my darkest hour
Everything withered away like a flower
I'm surrounded by people all around
Yet I haven't been found

I wanted someone to hold me tight
And take me on a plight
Away from all these thoughts
Which has left me distraught

Wondering why you weren't there
When I was trapped in a snare
I looked out for you
But you went through

Author's Note

Mk.t.g
A quick piece I penned down. I wrote this because I felt alone and lost, even with all my friends and people surrounding me. It's just a triggering feeling when you can no longer be who you are in front of them when you can no longer expect something from them.. and the only thing that's holding you back is the treasured memories you once made with them.

I was there, picking up petals,
but you didn't see
I was hiding in the dark,
Afraid to speak

The look on your face
it left me distraught
I knew it was a race,
a fight, now i know i should've fought

you were alone, I saw your tears
i wanted to wipe them
I wanted to calm your fears

I wanted to hold you tight,
I wanted to whisper it wasn't fair
your tears i wanted to wipe
for you to know i did and still care

r u fine, tho?
do u get hallucinations or something...
Truthfully, if it were not for downs, we would have no true and relevant concept of that which up was and or is. That said, I do hope that things are better in your life, as your well expressed words penned above do serve to indicate that they were not during those moments when you quill found itself dipped in the ink of our common (to all humanity's) loneliness, sadness, helplessness, and misery of events that we find we simply cannot control, nor reverse and undo ... It is at those times that we often find that our thought to be friends were but handy acquaintances, and never truest friends at all ... Powerfully spoken and well said!

I can associate with this but I remember what Leonard Cohen said about the cracks in our existance being the only way light gets through. A sad but lovely piece.

dear Mk t.g. "where have all the flowers gone... long time coming...". The Beatles were young and knew Sorrow. I feel your pain and trust the soft rain will hold your thoughts and soothe your Heart. tenderly, Pat
