Erosion of my Life

Erosion of my Life

A Poem by Mk.t.g

Once a glistening ray of light,

Having been swept over by a black blanketed,

Everything once outshining,

Turned into an eerie darkness,

A region where angels descend,

Where mother nature reigns,

Where the forlornness is imprisoned,

A combat, so lethal, begun

My heart skipping a beat, my mind blanking,

My hands freezing, and the fear drifting away.

Searching frantically for light,

In the midst of darkness,

I lay astounded, too weary to wake up,

But then I open my eyes,

And I see a figure smirking at me,

Oh! And how he stabbed me,

And oh, how the knife eroded the light

This is an excellent write. Power in the words and phrasing. My only suggestion is to leave out
the description and let the readers interpret the poem as it appears to them.
Telling what it is drastically narrows the scope.

This is a very artistically written piece for such a topic. you educated me with the word "forlornness", thank you for that. "The knife eroded the light." Again, this a very artistically written write for such a topic. I enjoyed this very. tyfs
