30,000 Feet

30,000 Feet

A Poem by Never Good Enough

I wish I were 30,000 ft. in the air.

Things are different up there.

The daily grind and reality don't matter up there.

The clouds don't judge and the stars don't scorn.

The city lights are beautiful and there is no right or wrong.

Flying gives me an exchange time.

Even waiting in an airport holds certain appeal.

Nobody knows you, it's just you and your own thoughts and desires.

30,000 ft. in the sky.

If only for a few moments...

troubles drift away, memories flood in, and I am alone with myself.

It's not lonely, but it is empty.

Staring out into the midnight sky is the happiest I can be.

30,000 ft. in the sky...I wish I were there tonight.

I agree with the poem. 30,000 ft. in the sky. Few problems or worry till you must come down. I like the poem. Remind of poetry of birds and hope. Best song for old timers. "Free Bird'. Thank you for the excellent poem.
