A Chapter by Alexis

My heart feels as if it will bounce right out of my chest and spew all over the floor. Adrenaline runs through my aching veins. And footsteps pound behind me. This is an ordinary day for me running for my life seems to have become a part of my daily routine. A year ago I played my best cards and lost for once. The world had played against me that day.
Now, am running again. A part of the routine I guess. I reach a cement wall, practically, implanting my face into the surface. And words like cunning metal, slip off a tongue like a snake.
" Whoever shall break rules will be punished!" The voice sounds so familiar to me, yet my mind doesn't seem to work in these situations. A shadow looms closer to me, there is a prickle in my neck then I see Rainbows, a dancing man, and then nothing. But I am slowly aware of my limp body being dragged into an empty corridor or the castle house.
